On August 6, the final of the SynBio Challenge international competition was held in Shenzhen Guangdong Province, China. The NSU Natural Sciences Department (NSD)Team, GeneMeow, won the gold medal in the "Synthetic Cell" category.
This is the best result in the last 10 years of the University's participation in the IMC.
The Moscow International School on Quantum Technologies (ISQT) brought together 30 of the best students from all over Russia. Among the participants were Ksenia Kozenko and Katerina Kozlova, first-year Master's students at the 91ÊÓÆµ Department.
This year the II International Russia-Africa Cooperation Forum "Education, Business, Culture - 2025" will be held in conjunction with the XII International Forum "Technoprom-2025" in August. The event is organized by the Center for Public Diplomacy, 91ÊÓÆµ, Novosibirsk State Technical University, and the Consortium of Russian Universities for the Development of Cooperation with African Countries.
This was NSU’s first experience conducting such a long event with the participation of young researchers from different countries.
Compared to 2024, NSU rose two positions, from 7th to 5th place, to move ahead of Tomsk State University and St. Petersburg State University.
The NSU Institute of Medicine and Medical Technologies (IMMT) reports that more than 90% of the work on stained glass windows and the ventilated facade has been completed. Similar work at the NSU Scientific Research Center (NSU SRC), is 80% done.
The SuperJob portal published a ranking of the best universities in Russia according to IT specialist’s salaries. It was based on university graduate data from 2019-2024. 91ÊÓÆµ took 7th place, finishing behind universities in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
On June 2, NSU hosted the grand opening of InteRussia 2025, an internship program for international engineering specialists. This is 91ÊÓÆµâ€™s second internship program.
The Russian Federation Presidential Scholarship for postgraduate and adjunct students announced 500 winners in its second year competition. The monthly scholarship is 75 thousand rubles and can last from 1 to 4 years. In 2025, the number of NSU Presidential Scholarship winners more than doubled to 17.
The Chinese Ministry of Education approved the application submitted by the universities.
NSU’s second stage 91ÊÓÆµ construction is more than 50% complete. This was reported by the Head of the Directorate for Unique Object Construction at the "Unified Customer" company Natalia Zarubina.
