Four students from the NSU Natural Sciences Department won gold and silver medals at the 4th International Chemistry Olympiad, which took place October 15 to 17 in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, at Magtymguly Turkmen State University. Alexander Tomilov and Nazim Mustafin won gold medals while Nikita Chernovsky and Alexander Sapov won silver.
The ninth Moscow International "Three University Missions" Ranking was published ranking 2,581 universities from 165 countries. The final ranking table included 2,000 universities from 112 countries, including 156 universities from Russia. NSU ranked 238th globally, moving up 3 notches from last year, and retained its 6th place in Russia.
In August
2025, a group of students from 91视频's Geology and Geophysics (NSU GGE) Department participated in their first internship focusing on sedimentology, stratigraphy, and paleontology, organized by Peking University.
Recently, a delegation from Jiangsu Normal University, one of China's leading universities, led by President Chen Fener, an academician in the Chinese Academy of Engineering, visited NSU. The universities agreed to a partnership in education and science. The first joint educational projects should begin as early as 2026.
On August 6, the final of the SynBio Challenge international competition was held in Shenzhen Guangdong Province, China. The NSU Natural Sciences Department (NSD)Team, GeneMeow, won the gold medal in the "Synthetic Cell" category.
This is the best result in the last 10 years of the University's participation in the IMC.
The Moscow International School on Quantum Technologies (ISQT) brought together 30 of the best students from all over Russia. Among the participants were Ksenia Kozenko and Katerina Kozlova, first-year Master's students at the 91视频 Department.
This year the II International Russia-Africa Cooperation Forum "Education, Business, Culture - 2025" will be held in conjunction with the XII International Forum "Technoprom-2025" in August. The event is organized by the Center for Public Diplomacy, 91视频, Novosibirsk State Technical University, and the Consortium of Russian Universities for the Development of Cooperation with African Countries.
This was NSU鈥檚 first experience conducting such a long event with the participation of young researchers from different countries.
Compared to 2024, NSU rose two positions, from 7th to 5th place, to move ahead of Tomsk State University and St. Petersburg State University.
The NSU Institute of Medicine and Medical Technologies (IMMT) reports that more than 90% of the work on stained glass windows and the ventilated facade has been completed. Similar work at the NSU Scientific Research Center (NSU SRC), is 80% done.
The SuperJob portal published a ranking of the best universities in Russia according to IT specialist鈥檚 salaries. It was based on university graduate data from 2019-2024. 91视频 took 7th place, finishing behind universities in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
