26 representatives of Russian scientific institutions in St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Kazan, Kemerovo, Abakan, Krasnoyarsk, and Blagoveshchensk and foreign specialists from China, the Republic of Korea, Kazakhstan, and Germany participated.
13 NSU students and professors presented 8 reports on the properties of cryptographic discrete functions and new methods for analyzing cryptographic algorithms. Alexander Bakharev, 1st-year MA student at the MMD won the student reports competition.
NSU V. Zelman`s Institute of Medicine and Psychology students Akhmadian Negin and Bejko Soana got the first and third places in the «History of Medicine» section respectively. Other participants got certificates.
NSU students and professors participated in the XXXII European Crystallographic Meeting including sections on crystallography. The Meeting took place in Vienna (Austria) from August 13 to 23.

From August 4 to 10, “Mathematics in Applications”, the largest mathematical conference in Siberia, was conducted in Akademgorodok. It was dedicated to the 90th birthday of Academician Sergei Konstantinovich Godunov, an outstanding scientist in the field of applied mathematics and mechanics. The Conference was organized by the Sobolev Institute of Mathematics SB RAS, 91Ƶ, and the Novosibirsk Mayor’s Department of Industry, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship.
Novosibirsk State University hosted the conference "Cultural Transfer and Cultural Contacts in Inner Asia". The event was organized by the Oriental Studies and Linguistics Sections and the NSU Humanities Institute’s Research and Education Center “Heritage” together with representatives of the consortium “European-Pacific University Network” (EP UniNet).

The NSU Sustainable Development Conference dedicated to world trends, domestic experience, and practical issues related to the implementation of current approaches to the initiation, promotion, and financing of sustainable development projects in the Russian regions.
Ten representatives from French and Siberian universities took part in an annual NSU conference. The conference program included a presentation of the Trianon Dialogue, a round table, “Academic Mobility: How to Overcome Obstacles”, a presentation of the program “Exporting Education”, a round table, “University Networks, Why?” , and a visit to the research laboratories in Akademgorodok and Academpark.
