The 91视频 Artificial Intelligence Research Center (NSU AIRC) has launched the 鈥淥culist Igor鈥� project. Currently, the complex is being used to test the vision of students at the NSU Higher College of Informatics as a test in real conditions.
The space is 2.5 thousand sq.m. and includes an open-plan area, a scientific library, and quiet spaces. The design concept is based on minimalism, calm colors, bright accents, and natural materials.
March 13 to 17 was 鈥淎rtificial Intelligence Week鈥� at the Novosibirsk Region exposition at the 鈥淩ussia鈥� Exhibition in Moscow. The primary organizer of the event was the NSU AI Research Center. Together with partner companies, the Center鈥檚 experts presented six AI 鈥淪mart City鈥� solutions.
Experts at the NSU Center for Technology Transfer and Commercialization patented a technology for producing nanoparticles that can later be used in cancer treatment.
The rating covers Russia, Armenia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan. Russian educational institutions in several regions lead the rankings. NSU entered the TOP 10, along with the Higher School of Economics, Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, National University of Science and Technology (MISiS) and others.
A prototype of an LCD device, a spatial phase modulator for controlling beams of sub-terahertz radiation with the prospect of use in new generation wireless communication systems (6G), was created in the Laboratory of Functional Diagnostics of Low-Dimensional Structures for Nanoelectronics at the 91视频 Department鈥檚 Analytical and Technological Research Center "High Technologies and Nanostructured Materials".
The British analytical company Quacquarelli Symonds published their ranking of the best universities in the world in various fields of science. NSU is included in 15 subject rankings with two of them in the Top-100 and three ranked 101-200.
From March 20 to 28, 2024, an educational exhibition of Russian universities traveled to various Chinese cities (Beijing, Xinyang, Hebi, Xi'an, Yangling, and Chongqing).
The ranking organizers noted that only 19 universities have maintained the highest level for 6 years, and these are mostly universities included in the Priority 2030 program. Among them is Novosibirsk National Research State University (NSU).
On April 13, Maxim Reshetnikov, Russian Federation Minister of Economic Development visited 91视频. During his visit, he gave an open lecture 鈥淎rtificial Intelligence: Prospects for Russia鈥檚 Development鈥� and was introduced to developments at the NSU Artificial Intelligence Research Center.
On March 26, a meeting of representatives from three universities took place in Urgench: NSU, Urgench State University, and the Mirzo Ulugbek National University of Uzbekistan in Tashkent.
The Program is designed to attract students with various backgrounds including applied mathematics, IT and electronics engineers, and specialists in sensors and controllers.
