Next seminar "Actual problems of applied mathematics" will be held on April 7

The next seminar  will be held on April 7 at 5:00 pm (UTC+7).
Seminar heads: RAS academician I. A. Taimanov, RAS corresponding member S. I. Kabanikhin, RAS corresponding member A. E. Mironov, Doctor of physical and mathematical sciences M. A. Shishlenin.

D. N. Sidorov (Melentiev Institute of Energy Systems SB RAS) will present a talk 鈥淚ntegral Dynamic Models: Theory and Applications in the Electric Power Industry鈥.

A brief review of methods for analyzing integral dynamic models and their applications is given. The modern foundations of the theory of linear and nonlinear integral equations used in modeling dynamic developing systems are outlined, including existence and uniqueness theorems for smooth and generalized solutions of the corresponding equations.

A new formulation of the inverse problem and a numerical method for the Volterra integral equations with piecewise continuous kernels are discussed for the case of the required kernel discontinuity curves. The resulting integral equation is non-linear with respect to discontinuity curves. Approximate and numerical methods for constructing solutions in irregular cases are proposed. Examples of integral dynamic models for cyber-physical systems and modeling of storage systems in the electric power industry are discussed.
