From 19 to 21 October 2022 at the Sobolev Institute of Mathematics will host a mini-course of lectures.
Schedule:
Lecturer 鈥 Alexander G. Kuznetsov, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, RAS Corresponding Member, Mathematical Institute of RAS (Moscow).
Course name: "K3 Surfaces"
Surfaces of type K3 are one of the most interesting and important classes of algebraic (and also complex-analytic) surfaces. These lectures will give an (elementary if possible) introduction to their theory. I plan to calculate the main invariants and give examples of K3 surfaces, formulate and explain Torelli's theorem, which gives the basic way to work with K3 surfaces, and if there is time, talk about the amazing properties of moduli varieties of sheaves on K3 surfaces.
