From December 17 to 18, 2023 Institute of Mathematics named after. S.L. Sobolev SB RAS, together with the Mathematical Center in Academgorodok, is holding a conference 鈥淎lgebra, Geometry and Algebraic Geometry鈥� dedicated to the memory of Alexander Zigfridovich Ananin. Alexander Zigfridovich was an employee of the Department of Ring Theory at the Institute of Mechanics of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences from 1972 to 1995, after 1995 he worked in Brazil. In recent years, Alexander Zigfridovich taught at the University of Sao Paulo (Sao Carlos, Brazil), successfully working in various areas of mathematics, including ring theory, topology, algebraic and differential geometry.
