On Tuesday, September 19, at 16:20, the next Seminar meeting on geometric analysis.
Speaker: Basalaev S. G.
Title of the report: Openness and discreteness of mappings with finite distortion on Carnot groups
Annotation:
New advances in the theory of mappings with finite distortion will be discussed. SOUTH. Reshetnyak laid the foundation for the theory of quasi-regular mappings, proving in 1966 that mappings of Euclidean spaces with bounded distortion are continuous, open and discrete. In 1996, Villamor and Manfredi proved that for these properties to hold, it is sufficient for the distortion function to belong to the class Lp for p > n鈥1. The generalization of this result to mappings of Carnot groups will be discussed. The results were obtained by the speaker together with S. K. Vodopyanov.
