From September 25 to 29, 2023, at the S. L. Sobolev Institute of Mathematics of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, for the second year in a row, unique popular science events will be held for mathematics teachers of basic schools of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Previously, from September 26 to September 30, 2022, events for teachers of mathematics and computer science of basic schools of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Novosibirsk, including lectures from leading scientists of specialized institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences, directors and teachers of Lyceum No. 130, OC 鈥淓rmine鈥, Lyceum 鈥淚ntegral鈥 and SUSC NSU, as well as extensive excursion program, received many positive responses from project participants.
This year, more than 40 teachers from 23 regions of our country confirmed their participation in the work.
Listeners can expect a rich, exciting and meaningful program aimed at popularizing science, discussing important and significant scientific discoveries that teachers will be able to tell their students and colleagues about, sharing experiences in developing students鈥 research skills and finding effective ways to guide them in choosing their future professional career in the field of science and high technology.
Lectures from the country's leading mathematicians, master classes and round tables at which issues of organizing research activities for schoolchildren will be discussed; solving Olympiad problems in mathematics; conducting classroom and extracurricular activities for students, including during visits to basic schools of the Russian Academy of Sciences located on the territory of the Novosibirsk Academic Town: Educational Center "Ermine" and Lyceum No. 130 named after academician M. A. Lavrentiev. Students will have the opportunity not only to attend popular science lectures, but also to get acquainted with the activities of scientific and research centers of the Novosibirsk Academic Town, including: Institute of Mathematics named after S. L. Sobolev SO RAN, Institute of Nuclear Physics named after G. I. Budker SB RAN.
Despite the busy schedule of upcoming work, the program of events included room for excursions to museums and visits to exhibitions in the Novosibirsk Academic Town.
